Epinions If you use Photoshop or the like, dont be silly, get a Wacom

by  jasono,  Mar 25, 2005
Pros: Price. Performance. A more "natural" feel. A MUST for graphic programs.
Cons: Wont replace the mouse especially if you type a lot.
The Bottom Line: If you use any graphic programs dont wait - RUN to get this tablet. If you are a casual computer user its probably not something you need.
Review: 2 Years. For 2 years I have listened to my animator friends sing the praises of Wacom tablets. These guys make their living using Flash and Photoshop and Wacom tablets and I didn’t listen. “No, my mouse is great and I can’t learn to use ...

Epinions A programmer's view

by  dkrapohl,  Apr 5, 2005
Pros: Arm relief, flexibility
Cons: Dropping and picking up the pen when you need it (minor)
The Bottom Line: Get this. A mouse, even with a wrist rest is harmful in the long term. For graphics or as a mouse.
Review: I am a professional software engineering consultant and have had the good fortune to work in situations that have led to a persistent pain in my right forearm--probably carpal tunnel or other repetitive motion injury. I use wrist rests on all of my ...

Epinions Best buy, couldn't be happier

by  sophiesdad,  Apr 23, 2006
Pros: Lots of tools available, instantly recognized by XP.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this for anyone needing a digitizer tablet for drawing OR to replace an uncomfortable mouse.
Review: I am an educator and webmaster of my school's website. In redesigning the site, I found myself needing to do a lot of drawing to create some stunning graphics. Of course, this is difficult to do with a mouse and needed to find a digitizer tablet to fit ...

Epinions The Graphire III, there's no going back!

by  skarnes,  Dec 2, 2004
Pros: Comfort, style, good cost/benefit value.
Cons: Awkward right click and I still have my mouse hooked up on the other side.
The Bottom Line: I've blown a lot of money on computer stuff but not this time. Buy one and see for yourself.
Review: I've owned my Graphire for over a year and its one of the best purchases I've made. I have spent many hours on the computer and all the clicking was starting to take its toll. It even got to the point where just gripping the mouse wasn't comfortable. I ...

Epinions High Quality Value Priced Tablet

by  quassia,  May 11, 2004
Pros: Quality components. Good control. 512 sensitivity levels, pen, eraser and two programmable buttons. Good software.
Cons: 4 by 5 area is limiting for the mouse. Pen's responsiveness suffers at fast speeds.
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this tablet. It offers a lot of control and comes bundled with a light version of Photoshop. A great value in a quality package.
Review: High Quality Value Priced Tablet. If you do any sort of art or layout design using a computer then a Wacom tablet is essential. The higher priced Intuos tablets offer more control and freedom in their controls and size. This is the cheapest offering ...

Pros: easy to use, small
Cons: Expensive, short USB cord
Review: This was my first tablet, and I have to say that it was very useful! Its easy to install, easy to use. Although it takes some time getting used to drawing on a 4x5 rectangle, once you do its amazing! Using a tablet saves paper and allows you to ...

by  denniskly,  Dec 7, 2005
Pros: Good tool for artist, solid, no battery required, easy installation
Cons: Expensive, mouse redundant, cord not long enough, tablet surface too slick
The Bottom Line: If you use it for art works in software like Adobe buy it, else wait till the price drops to 30% at least

by  ianc4262,  Dec 25, 2006
Pros: Good basic tablet for occassional or light duty graphics and photowork.
Cons: Small if you are planning anything serious in the way of use.
The Bottom Line: Good starter, fine value for money if its on sale.
Review: I've doing a lot of graphics stuff over the last couple years and finally saw a good deal on a 4x5 pad and figured what the heck. The software bundle was pretty impressive, PS Elements v3, Corel Painter LE and several other packages. And since it ...
