Epinions 1985 Supra --- terrific all-time guy car

by  thunderfoot,  Jan 18, 2006
Pros: 1985 Supra: Possibly the top favorite of about seventy cars I have owned.
Cons: They are getting old and hard to find.
The Bottom Line: If you love the sound of a great, great engine, and love to drive, an 85 Supra screamer is very hard to beat, all time. Testosterone required.
Review: I have owned a number of Supras from 1979 up to 1988. The '79 was a great, great, fun car for its time. The 1988 Turbo (A/T) was just a speeding ticket waiting to happen. I could not keep it under 90 on the highway -- if you blink in that car you are ...

Epinions It Owns Honda Civics

by  ra64,  Mar 9, 2003
Pros: cheap, reliable, fun.
Cons: rust.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the celica to anyone looking for cheap transportation with some fun, and as a second car or project car as well.
Review: This review is for the 1985 Toyota Celica GT. It has a 22r-e 2.4L 4 cylinder compared to a 5m-ge 2.8L 6 cylinder in the Celica supra, and a solid rear axle, instead of IRS in the Celica supra. Otherwise, the cars are similar. Toyota introduced the ...

Epinions Toyota's luxury coupe with muscle attitude

by  gammavelocity,  Aug 13, 2003
Pros: Economical, reliable, fast, fun, luxurious, best car you can find for the price.
Cons: lack of aftermarket parts, prone to rust if not taken care of
The Bottom Line: Simply an amazing car. Very reliable, economical (about 26mpg), fun, sporty and luxurious. In my opinion no car of the 80's is as well rounded as the Supra.

Pros: - reliable - comfortable - 8 way adjustable bucket seats -

Review: I always loved the look and feel of the MKII supra. I drove my cousins MKII celicasupra and fell in love with it instantly. The handling was designed by lotus with both IFS and IRS giving you great stability through corners. Rack and pinion steering, ...

Epinions 1985 Toyota Celica Supra

by  supra-ma61,  Sep 12, 2004
Pros: Cheap, reliable, comfortable, loads of electric toys. Lots of net based info and help
Cons: RUSTY BACKENDS, TAILGATES and SUNROOFS, no aftermarket panels, lack of tuning parts. Limited tyre choice.
Review: This is a great car from Toyota, far ahead of it's time. I mean what 1980's car can you buy with Air Con and Cruise as standard features? The engines and transmission are silky smooth and eat the miles without a glitch. Auto's are a real pleasure to ...

Epinions Fast & Furious it isn't, but a great car for everything but racing.

by  openroad,  Feb 7, 2003
Pros: Reliability, looks, comfort, performance.
Cons: Rust, abuse from previous owners, lack of upgrading potential.
The Bottom Line: If you can find a rust free specimen, I highly recommend this mild mannered sporty coupe.

Epinions Garbage

by  mercurytopaz,  Jun 9, 2003
Pros: A girl told me the car was sexy
Cons: EVERYTHING!
