Pros: Good value, nice exterior styling, lots of standard safety features
Cons: Some option packages, parts of interior cheap, noisy engine city speeds
The Bottom Line: The Patriot is a very good value and an excellent alternative to compact sedans. The 4WD is the least expensive 4WD in Canada (even a Trail Rated 4WD option).
Review: You will not find a perfect car, and Jeeps are not for everyone. Once you get over these, you'll understand why the Patriot is a good value despite it's shortcomings. Reviews on the Jeep state that handling is lacking and that the engine appears ...

Pros: Fuel Mileage, available CVT II transaxle, available 4x4 package
Cons: Low towing capacity, Not enough passenger room
The Bottom Line: The Jeep Patriot is a great buy for the low price and will become a classic just as all Jeeps have been.
Review: If you are looking for a good, reliable vehicle that can do it all, then you have found it. The 2007 Jeep Patriot has proven to be a very versatile vehicle both on and off road. With good acceleration and great handling, it really does represent the ...

Pros: Styling, CVT, braking, cabin layout, turn stability, exc. displays, off-road ability.
Cons: Too much plastic in interior, seat headrests, small gas tank, so-so engine, so-so upgraded stereo
The Bottom Line: If you want a small SUV that gets OK mileage and can be taken off road, this might be it!
Review: I've owned a 2007 Jeep Patriot for three months now. I bought the Limited with Freedom Drive II with 4x4 and low gear for off-roading, and pretty much every option they offered - sunroof, navigation, UConnect bluetooth for cell phone, upgraded stereo ...

Pros: Price, fuel economy, not an SUV, MP3 jack in standard radio.
Cons: Interior panels a bit cheap, small rear window, can't reach R.View mirror
The Bottom Line: If you want a beefy wagon for $20k, buy it. If you want more "truck" get a Commander.
Review: To qualify this, I traded out of a Volvo V70 wagon. I hate SUVs, but there are very few good wagons on the market for under $25k. This "wagon" crossover is a just beefy car. It's not a truck, has front wheel drive (4x4 optional), and sits on the Dodge ...

Pros: Great gas mileage on the manual transmission. Smooth drive and lots of room.
Cons: Hard plastic on the door sills and the center console.
The Bottom Line: Great car for the price. Smooth and roomy with great gas mileage provided you know how to drive a stick.
Review: I purchased the 2008 Jeep Patriot Limited about a month ago. The drive is very car like. We ordered it in red with the 2.4 liter engine and a manual transmission. Note this was the only limited vehicle that we could find in the entire State of ...

Pros: Smart square-jawed styling, relatively good fuel economy, modest pricing.
Cons: Cut-rate interior materials, dull acceleration, droning engine note, buoyant ride and handling, poor visibility.
The Bottom Line: The Patriot combines Jeep's traditionally rugged looks with the numb, sloppy road manners and poor trim quality of Dodge's Caliber.
Review: Background Throughout the rapid expansion of the SUV segment, Jeep has distinguished itself by producing real SUVs: rugged, truck-based, and off-road-ready. For 2007, Jeep is backpedaling a bit on that angle, adding a pair of ...

Pros: Exterior styling, interior room, innovative audio, low price
Cons: Interior materials, wheezy engine, sloppy steering
The Bottom Line: The classic Jeep exterior promises far more than the wheezy mechanicals can deliver.
Review: When DaimlerChrysler decided to broaden the Jeep brand by offering the first front-wheel-drive Jeep, they tested a number of different concepts with consumers. These tests found that two very different concepts tested well, but with different groups of ...

Pros: Off road capability, esthetics, idea
Cons: Reality, poor quality in manufacturing, almost deceptive brochure information
The Bottom Line: Do not buy one, unless you live in a desert where it never rains and you don't take the product through a carwash.
Review: I bought the Jeep Patriot due to styling, the semi environmental attributes, and warranty....boy was I stupid!!! I am one of those people that new car dealers hate. I NEVER and I mean NEVER buy a new vehicle. I consider myself intelligent, letting ...
