Epinions 1994 Amigo XS

by  smminuskin,  Oct 22, 1999
Pros: handling, style, size
Cons: 4-cylinder, manual-lock hubs
Review: I was a ragtop guy, but wanted a 4x4 so I bought my Amigo because
I loved the looks and it was half a ragtop. At the time of purchase,
many of the features I wanted (6-cylinder, auto-lock hubs, automatic) were not available, yet I bought it...

Epinions 94 Amigo

by  lomego,  Jan 18, 2006
Pros: Four wheel disc brakes and 6 lug hubs are nice features.
Cons: The exhaust system is designed weird
Review: I have owned 3 Amigos so far. I must say that they have always been a pleasure to own and drive. I love the amount of storage room it has with the rear seats folded up, and the 21 gallon gas tank keeps me driving instead of filling up all the time. ...

Epinions I am pleased!!

by  bwong,  Jun 13, 2001
Pros: Fun Drive, cool top, great handling, comfy seats, hidden space
Cons: Gas Mileage, Blind-Spots
The Bottom Line: I think that the Amigo, when well maintained and not abused, can be the perfect "not-exactly" jeep. Your backseat passengers never know the difference and you look different!!
Review: I recently purchased (yes another car). I traded in my 96 Eclipse :( for this suv. My Eclipse had 3 bad run-ins (2 accidents and a burglary), so I decided to get something completely different. I have always like the looks of the Amigo, but never knew...

Epinions The Amigo is truly your friend.

by  crutch42,  Dec 21, 1999
Pros: Fun, Reliable, Cargo Room, Looks Great
Cons: Oil Filter Removal, Replacement Cover
Review: Not too long ago, I purchased an Amigo. I wanted one from the first day I ever saw one. I have always liked the look of it, and with the removable cover on the back part, it looked like it would be a fun vehicle to own.
To date, I have not been...

Epinions Vauxhall Frontera (UK version of Amigo) 1996 model

by  tonyuk,  Dec 26, 2001
Pros: Loads of fun and handy off-roader, macho-styling
Cons: Back seat position, nasty van-like blind spots
The Bottom Line: Practical engineering - nothing fancy. Could have been better. Frontera came on the UK market too quickly without getting it right.
Review: Hey, before you read I'm not interested in 'brownie' points for an essay - but just think it important we all exchange information honestly across Continents on basically the same cars from the same manufacturers. I have put my 96 model here in the 94s...
