Pros: great construction, sharp picture, great sound, quality
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Get this LCD!
Review: My wife and I wanted to upgrade the TV in our bedroom and I convinced her to get an LCD. We looked at many models at the store that looked good and we bought three that we returned quickly once we realized they look terrible at home. I started to do ...

Pros: quality picture/sound, ease of use, PC monitor, HDTV
Cons: size and dell tech support
The Bottom Line: Works as both a PC Monitor and HDTV. Good for small bedrooms. To small for living room TV. Dell tech support is horrible.
Review: I have owned the Dell W1700 17 LCD TV for approximately 9 months now. I bought it as a package deal along with my computer. Therefore, I bought it as a monitor for my PC and as a TV for my bed room. I paid approximately 500 dollars for the TV since I ...

Pros: Good video, lots of cables, good remote.
Cons: Sound could be better. User manual describing menus is not very good.
The Bottom Line: The video, the various hook ups, the ease of use and the solid base makes this a good buy. Only the audio kept it from 5 stars.
Review: I have had this LCD TV/Monitor for a week. So far everything about it is fine with a couple of small things. For one the sound sometimes seems to have a "lisp". This happens with voices and I have had to make some strange audio adjustments reduce it. ...

Pros: HDTV widescreen, DVI, Bright, Wide Viewing Angle, Amazing Sound, Price
Cons: Sharpness on Adjustments/Controls Awk., Dell Brand, Intial Quality Control, Heavy for LCD
The Bottom Line: Unless DVI in is needed buy the Samsung 17" TV instead. Picture not what hoped for from 16:9 HDTV set.
Review: Update: Teething problems aside this TV has grown on me ... I'm upgrading my rating from 3 to 4 starts. Trick is to use the Display and size buttons to adjust for the source, aspect ratio. Apperently the DVD I first tested the TV on has a bizzare aspect ...

Pros: Great sound especially in theatre mode. Height adjustable swivel stand.
Cons: None.
Review: I got the 17in. Dell LCD. for a bedroom. I use it for a computer monitor as well as a Tv. I think the PIP is very handy you can change the position to each of the four corners by pushing the POS. button. However the PIP can be anywhere on the screen like ...

Pros: sharp picture, color, price
Cons: heavy, wall mount cost $95 at dell.com
Review: I have had the W1700 for 2 weeks now. I researched a lot of LCD's before purchasing this one. My main reason for purchasing a Dell is the price. I also have a Dell PC, and a Dell notebook and am happy with the products. So I figured Dell's TVs should be ...

Pros: Picture quality, build, tons of supplied cables, sound, hefty/multi-adjustable stand.
Cons: No complaints as of this writing.
Review: I researched a lot of models in the 17" widescreen size. I wanted an HDTV with high resolution, 3:2 pulldown, high brightness, etc. for a competitive price. I hooked the W1700 (made by Philips) up to a Philips DVP-642 Progressive-scan DVD player using ...

Pros: Small enough to fit into most trash cans
Cons: It's dead and I'm stuck with a nice looking piece of junk.
Review: Just after the TV went out of warranty I lost the picture. I called dell for 4 days and got no where with the service in India. Dell told me they wouldn't fix my TV, they would exchange it for another piece of junk that they repaired. By the way, they ...
