Epinions CTS Sport - Flashy looks, performance & luxury

by  mjdart,  Aug 14, 2006
Pros: Very sharp looking, good performance, luxury and fuel economy. Limited 0% GMAC financing 60 months.
Cons: Bridgestone Potenza tires are good, but treadwear 140 is limited.
The Bottom Line: This is a loaded $41K car that can be bought for many thousands less that will compete with cars costing many thousands more and limited 0% financing.
Review: The time came to honor my promise to give my son a car. I've been driving a 2001 Lexus IS 300 since new and my son would be more than pleased to accept the keys I needed a new car for myself. Since I really like a sporty 4 door sedans and I don't mind ...

Pros: Good performance and handling, nice programmable features, uses regular unleaded.
Cons: Slightly cramped, rough ride for a luxury sedan, noisy.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a sedan with luxury features such as programmable seats and mirrors, but want sporty performance the CTS is a good option.

by  mkaresh, top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports ,  Apr 21, 2006
Pros: Unique styling, acceptable performance
Cons: Interior a bit cheap, needs stellar performance to make people take notice
The Bottom Line: Even in base trim, a thoroughly acceptable car. Want thrills? Get the 3.6 or V-Series.
Review: I'd driven--and reviewed--the CTS is pretty much every permutation. But I'd yet to sample the new-for-2005 2.8-liter V6, non-V six-speed manual, base suspension, or standard vinyl upholstery. So when a dealership nearby ordered a car with no options so ...
