by  weatherbee1982,  Dec 21, 2007
Pros: Near photorealistic graphics, wonderful sounds, excellent online experience
Cons: Short campaign (5 to 6 hours), no cooperative mode
The Bottom Line: Infinity Ward's decision to take Call of Duty 4 to Modern Times is a good move. All elements are present to make this an excellent FPS.

Epinions The wonderful franchise moves to the modern day!

by  hist,  Nov 15, 2007
Pros: Graphics, gameplay, strong multiplayer, sound, pretty much everything...
Cons: Except for the horribly short single-player campaign. And you can't lean.
The Bottom Line: The best game I've played this year by far, Call of Duty 4 has it all.
Review: One of my favorite games last year was < b>Call of Duty 3, a World War II first-person shooter. However, there have been so many World War II games in the last few years that it’s beginning to feel like we’ve ...

Epinions You've been called to duty...will you answer in this groundbreaking Modern Warfare?

by  jbrd,  Feb 19, 2008
Pros: Photo-realistic graphics, rich game-play, unforgettable experience.
Cons: Nothing really.
The Bottom Line: I can't so no more that hasn't been said already.
Review: The Call of Duty franchise is the very best war shooters series out there. I've never been disappointed by the series. Sure, there are other war shooters out there like Medal Of Honor, but Call of Duty is strictly a franchise that is hell-bent on making ...

Epinions Call of Duty 4: Hopefully this sets the standard for Modern FPS Video Gaming

by  pavona21, top reviewer in Games ,  Apr 8, 2008
Pros: Graphics, deep and extremely entertaining multiplayer mode.
Cons: Single player mode is particularly short.
The Bottom Line: I'm an avid FPS player and this one of the best shooters I've ever played. Certainly in the same class as Halo 3.
Review: Wait, where the hell was I when the other 3 COD's came out? Anyone tracking my reviewing hiatus(And I pretend that anyone actually did) is probably starting to think that I locked myself in my room and played nothing but shooters for the last 3 ...

Epinions Forget WWII, this is Modern Warfare...

by  groves22,  Jan 16, 2008
Pros: Very Quick Paced, Great MP System, Visual/Sound is Amazing
Cons: No Co-Op Missions, No Split-Screen MP, Tough MP For Beginners,
The Bottom Line: If you want a game with a solid single player and a great multi-player, look no further. This game is the best out there, right now.
Review: Overall Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare leaves the other Call of Duty games in the past, where they belong. This is the first Call of Duty series game to be set in the modern times, instead of the World War II setting. That was a move that I ...

Epinions Bringing Terror to the Terrorists

by  bigtruckseries,  Nov 10, 2007
Pros: Excellent AudioVisual presentation. Remarkable warfare experience.
Cons: Singleplayer is 5 hours long. Not enough gore. Multiplayer balance issues.
The Bottom Line: Scores of Arabs and Russians line up to be killed in a hail of your bullets in this beautifully crafted, world of warfare.
Review: If video games are being produced based on the developer’s interpretation of the future, then, that future looks rough. It seems as though there is no shortage of Russian speaking, dissidents of collapsed Soviet Union satellites – or Arabic ...

Epinions Adrenaline pumping fun

by  crystalattice,  Jan 9, 2008
Pros: Realism, great AI, good graphics, variety of weapons
Cons: Short scenario, some areas can be frustratingly tough
The Bottom Line: If you enjoy FPS, this is a must buy. It simulates small-unit tactics quite well, even when playing solo.
Review: My wife bought this game for my birthday but I play it sporadically since I also got the Xbox 360 and four other games for Xmas. I haven't completed it yet but I'm at the end. I haven't played any of the other Call of Duty games so I can't say how #4 ...

Epinions A game in which it doesn't pay to have home court advantage!

by  mjhhiv,  Jun 15, 2008
Pros: - Terrific Graphics - Addictive Multiplayer - Fun Game Play -
Cons: - Short campaign -
The Bottom Line: Call of Duty 4 is one of the best shooters on the market, and it's popularity is no coincidence.
Review: First-Person Shooters dominate the library of the XBox 360. It takes a lot for a war shooter to stand out now a days, so Infinity Ward tried something new with their latest installment in the Call of Duty series- bringing it into modern times. This ...

Epinions One of the best shooter games out there!

by  confuscius21,  Jan 6, 2008
Pros: Improvement from the previous Call of Duty games, more realistic, varied difficulty levels.
Cons: limited amount of players allowed during multiplayer mode, currently experiencing trouble on Xbox live.
The Bottom Line: If you don't own it yet, go out and buy it today. It is the best shooter game out so far.
Review: I was not a huge fan of all the previous Call of Duty games and never purchased any of them. But Call of Duty 4 is a must have. I am a huge Ghost Recon fan, but I have definitely dedicated my time to playing Call of Duty 4. The graphics are amazing, ...

Epinions Not for the kiddies

by  ny_reviewer,  Dec 8, 2007
Pros: Game play, graphics.
Cons: Short, but very intense. No cooperative multiplayer.
The Bottom Line: Lots of fun. Maybe too much for some people. I've played it twice, and will keep it to play again.
Review: The first three Call of Duty games were set in World War II. As the title implies, Call of Duty 4 is set roughly now. The player takes the roll of two special forces operators, a British Special Air Service commando, and an American Force ...
