Pros: Breakthrough product, one of a kind
Cons: Need a power switch, better user instructions
The Bottom Line: nice piece of hardware, in needing of more user friendly/useful software for VCD/SVCD creation.
Review: If you have boxes and boxes of home movie video tapes sitting in the basement rutting away. You would think of a way to transfer them to a more permanent form, such as CD/DVD. Until recent I have found such a product, which is call UBS Instant DVD by...

Pros: a few, but not many. the pros are wiped out by the con.
Cons: one con: audio capture. won't adequately capture audio, defeating the purpose.
The Bottom Line: doesn't get the job done. probably won't get the job done. audio capturing is relatively futile. audio problem sabotages the original mission.

Cons: Video look bad on computer.
The Bottom Line: It works if you watch the video on TV only. Buy a factory reconditioned one and you may have better luck.
Review: Is this the functionally you really want?

Pros: Great idea, in theory
Cons: No power switch, totally unreliable, lousy customer support
The Bottom Line: If this thing worked it would be a dream product for vid capture. After the experiences I had with it, I couldn't recommend it to my worst enemy!!
Review: This is the single most frustrating experience I have ever had with a pc peripheral. When i unpacked the unit, hooked it
up and installed the software it worked like a dream....for 10 minutes. Beautiful dvd quality video! However next time i tried to... |
