The optimal application for this Switching Hub is as a "Bridge" joining together network segments operating at different speeds. The CNSH-500 is capable of providing a bridge for Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) devices to communicate with Ethernet (10Mbps) devices. This combination allows users to palce Fast Ethernet segments and Ethernet segments on a single network.??To double the available bandwidth, each port supports an Auto-Negotiation function that automatically places the network speed at its maximum level. When linked to other 100Mbps devices, each port can be set to forced 100Mbps Full Duplex mode via its DIP switch. Setting a port to forced 100Mbps Full-Duplex mode creates an independent segment that transmit data at collision-free 200Mbps! The CNSH-500 divides each port's traffic onto its own individual segment. This cuts a network's traffic load and reduces collisions on each segment. Network traffic can be further reduced by placing users (ex. Departments) and devices that no... Minimize
