Black Box Ethernet to Token Ring Adapter (LBU9002) Bridge

The Ethernet to Token Ring Adapter is an easy, inexpensive way to introduce an Ethernet device to a Token Ring network. Installation is simple: there's no software to learn and no configuration parameters to set. Once you power up the unit, simply plug the Ethernet device into the adapter and attach the Token Ring side to a Type 1 or Type 3 Token Ring MAU. The unit automatically senses the Token Ring speed and adjusts its operation accordingly. The six LEDs provide a thorough look at the device's operation on both the Ethernet and Token Ring sides. ??The unit also filters and forwards information based on the Ethernet device's IP address. Data destined for the attached device (a scanner, for instance) is permitted to pass through the unit. Data designated for other devices is simply placed back on the ring.
